Chronic arsenicosis produces protean 
manifestations like pigmentation, keratosis, chronic respiratory disease, peripheral neuropathy liver disease etc. and cancer of skin, urinary bladder and lung. Remedy of chronic arsenic toxicity is to take arsenic free water. High protein and fiber containing diet are found to reduce the clinical toxic effects of arsenicosis. The only immediate mitigation measure to the arsenic affected people is to consume arsenic free water for drinking and cooking purposes.
