Medical Practitioners’ Training on Arsenicosis and Fluorosis
Water related diseases such as Fluorosis and Arsenicosis are much neglected subjects within general medical curriculum. As a result, trained health practitioners who can detect these diseases and offer counseling to patients are very few. Taking this into account, one day training on Fluorosis and Arsenicosos was given by Dr Raja Reddy is an eminent Neurosurgeon and foremost experts on skeletal fluorosis. Dr Kunal Kanti Majumdar, from Kolkata, a foremost medical arsenicosis experts. The trainees included doctors, public health practitioners and other interested individuals with the aim of reaching out to affected population with better service.
