Awareness Workshop on Arsenicosis and Fluorosis
SaciWATERs, Secretariat, Arsenic Knowledge and Action Network, INREM Foundation, Secretariat, Fluoride Knowledge and Action Network, and Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement jointly facilitated an Awareness Workshop on Arsenicosis and Fluorosis for Raichur District Health Officers on 11th March, 2016 at Raichur, Karnataka.
Dr Arun Kumar, Scientist from Mahavir Cancer Institute and Research Centre, Patna, Bihar and Dr Krishna Rao, Social Activist from Fluoride Mitigation and Research and Resource Centre, Hubli, Karnataka spoke about Arsenic and Fluorosis restively. They discusses about detection and mitigation of these two dreaded diseases. Around 70 Medical Practitioners, and Health Workers from Raichur district participated in the Awareness Workshop. It was held at the District Health Office.
